- Do the canal cruise boats have a toilet?
-
Most canal cruise boats have a toilet on board, but not all of them.
- I’m in a wheelchair. Can I come and do a canal cruise?
-
Yes, Blue Boat is the only canal cruise company that has wheelchair accessible boats. If there’s a passenger in a wheelchair in the group, a reservation must be made in advance.
Select one of the following time slots to get on a boat that is wheelchair accessible: 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, or 4:00 PM. Then indicate during the booking process via the ‘note’ field that there is a wheelchair in the group or contact our reservations department to inform us of this. Our reservations department can be reached by email at reservations@blueboat.nl. You can also call us daily between 9AM and 5PM at 020 – 679 1370.
- What happens when it rains/storms/freezes?
-
Most canal cruise boats have a roof that can close fully and have central heating on board. So even if it is cold outside, you will be warm inside the boat. The boats mostly sail within the city centre where the water stays very calm, so they can sail in almost any weather.
If a cruise cannot take place due to extreme weather circumstances, the company will contact you to reschedule your ticket to another date.
