5 things to do in Amsterdam when it rains
It’s likely that it will rain while visiting Amsterdam, it’s Northern-Europe after all. Luckily we have a lot of experience with figuring out what to do on a rainy day, besides staying inside and watching Netflix.
Museums
A logical thought is to visit a museum on a rainy day. We would especially recommend to visit the Rijksmuseum, there is more than enough to see to keep you occupied the whole day and out of the rainy weather. The museum displays about 8.000 objects of its total collection of one million objects and is dedicated to the arts and history of Amsterdam.
Canal Cruise
Do you want to explore the city without dragging your umbrella around? Go on a canal cruise, most canal boats in Amsterdam have a roof to keep you dry on rainy days. There are many different canal cruises to choose from, like an Evening Cruise, Hop on Hop off canal cruise or the Burgers & Dogs Cruise.
Cheese tasting
Cheese and the Dutch go hand in hand, learn how cheese was traditionally made and, of course. Taste some different cheeses yourself at Henri Willig Cheese Tasting.
