Three Days in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a perfect city for a city trip. There is so much to do that you don´t want to miss out on anything. Here is a suggestion of the things you can do in Amsterdam in three days.

Three days in Amsterdam: day one

On your first day we’ve selected some activities so you can get familiar with the city.

City Canal Cruise

A visit to Amsterdam starts with a city canal cruise, there are many different types of canal cruises. A day in Amsterdam isn’t complete without a cruise through the canals of Amsterdam: romantic during the evening with dinner or during the day with the kids. The best way to start of your journey in Amsterdam is by boat.

Lunch

The most common lunch is a broodje kaas (cheese sandwich) or a broodje gezond (healthy sandwich). Ham, cheese, egg, tomato, cucumber and a salad is mostly put on a broodje gezond. A sandwich is a typical Dutch lunch and therefore widely available. You can get a sandwich at Bakkert Bart or La Place for example.

Visit a museum

There are many different types of museums in Amsterdam. One of the most famous museums is the Rijksmuseum, which will get you acquinted with the Dutch history of the 17th century and much more. You’ll find the museum at the museums quarter with the Stedelijk Museum (modern art) and the Van Gogh Museum. Museums like NEMO and the Scheepvaartmuseum are fun to visit with kids.

Dinner

Do you like Thai, Italian, European, Dutch, Indian, Mexican or Street Food? There are 180 different cultures living in Amsterdam, which results in a wide offer of culinary styles.

Get lost in the city

The most easiest (and cheapest) way to get familiar with the city is to just walk around.

Now you’ve got familiar with the city, it’s time to do some shopping.

Gassan Diamonds was established in 1945 by Samuel Gassan. The diamond merchant was mainly involved in cutting and polishing of diamonds and the import and export of both raw and cut diamonds, gemstones and jewelry. Gassan Diamond was a wholesaler and retailer at the same time. Lunch

Shopping

There are many different shopping streets in Amsterdam, from inter(national) brands to original and unique stores like vintage stores.

Snack

A typical Dutch snack while shopping (or basically every occasion you can think of) is a appeltaart (apple pie) with whipped cream.

Dinner
