Important information

When night falls, and the lanterns around the canals and the lights of the bridges light up, Amsterdam looks absolutely magical. And in the winter months, the Amsterdam Light Festival once again makes the city look more magical. During the dark months, the canals light up with the most beautiful light artworks by international artists. You can admire these works of art up close during our Amsterdam Light Festival canal cruise!

Spot the artworks of the 10th Edition during the Amsterdam Light Festival

This winter Edition 10 will take place, an anniversary edition in which the inhabitants of Amsterdam could vote for their favorite light artworks and light sculptures from previous editions. During the Amsterdam Light Festival cruise you will only see the most popular and spectacular light artworks from the previous years. Trust us, they are definitely worth seeing! So book your tickets for our Amsterdam Light Festival canal cruise now.

A nice, covered and heated Amsterdam Light Festival cruise

During this 90-minute cruise you will sail on a covered and heated canal boat. Which is nice – the Dutch winter can be quite bleak sometimes! During the Amsterdam Light Festival cruise you also get the option to listen to the official Amsterdam Light Festival audio story (which can be heard in English or Dutch).

Is a heated boat not a requirement for you? Then we recommend our Amsterdam Light Festival open boat cruise. The open boat has a maximum capacity of 25 people and can sail even closer to the light art. Your captain will also be your guide and tell you more about the light artworks that you see. Cruise through the canals and take the most beautiful pictures from up close. Which of our two Amsterdam Light Festival cruises do you prefer?
